Here's some Interesting Facts about TheBUDBARN ©TM Construction...
5.5 tons of wood went into the refit. About 3.5 went up stairs.
28,000 nails were used 6,500 screws of various sorts.
820 feet of wiring was added.
A new 600 amp power panel was installed.
A new self contained 200,000 BTU balanced hydronic central heating system with 350 feet of ducting, 12 registers have been installed.  
The entire building is 110,000 cubic feet. 2nd floor E & W walls are 60' long, N & S walls are 40' long.
The loft dome is 72,000 cubic feet alone and is 30' tall inside providing a wonderful amphitheater experience.
The dome air is treated by 3 Kenwood Heppa Air Ionizer Purifiers processing entire body of air twice per hour.
The main bar floor is different from the main body floor. Bar floor is 4" thick! Main floor in living room area is 2.75" thick. T&G underlay throughout underside of entire floor is supported by 10x2" true dimensional lumber floor joists resetting on 8x8" main headers which are held up by 24 10x10" posts.
Roughly 2.5 tons of material was removed from barn during cleaning. 5 Shop Vacuums met their demise during cleaning process.
Specialized 30 ft 3 stage tall custom scaffolding was built to build & service the dome.
50 power receptacles were added and 8 new circuits plus custom lighting.
Temperature & dome humidity is strictly monitored by computer and kept at 40% to preserve delicate artifacts.
When the collection is all lit up 5,800 light bulbs are used drawing .5 or 1/2KW of power per hour, Yikes!
Power system also includes a self contained 5.4 KW backup power source, Thank God!
Construction took 2.5 years with no injuries.
This is a working farm that takes 3 people to run it.
Likely the only barn in the world that has a highspeed wireless connection to the internet!
Took 8 months to unpack the 1250 box collection.
Arranging the Display took an additional 4 months.
The lobby was renovated in 12 months including a new floor, bathroom and full kitchen.
South & west lobby walls insulated to R40 and north wall insulated to R60.

About TheBUDBARN ©TM Website Construction
New web design was started early August 2008.
Over 400+ hours had gone into development of new design prior to it's début Sept 6th 2008.
Original concepts and graphics were conceived especially for TheBUDBARN©TM site.
Design theme was in keeping with the "motif" and purpose to be useful and entertaining.
Evolution of the site is always in progress.
Six state of the art computer systems were used in site development.
Over a dozen computer programs were used in site development.
High speed data transfer made it possible for instant assessment.
Over a dozen operating systems and internet browsers were used to insure compatible viewing.
 
About the Making of TheBUDBARN ©TM Videos
An additional 120 hours to develop video concepts.
Over one gigabyte of video material was shot for subject matter.
Six various video production programs for previewing and construction were used.
As a result 13 video are presently ready for viewing. More to come as it happens!
